For many learners, the learning that happens inside school is completely separate from the learning that happens in the rest of their life, and there’s no good way to organize all their learning in one place. We all create artifacts from our learning experiences all the time−whether they’re jotted notes a notebook, an Evernote, or something they made inside a game environment. All of these artifacts have meaning to the individual, and when learners have the tools to work with them over time, it can have a tremendous impact on their learning over time.


This project started initiated in my first graduate program and has evolved through subsequent years to include methodologies from the learning sciences to serve as a true mechanism for measuring cognitive development over time. This project represents many of my interests and strengths, in media design to leverage new ways of engaging with learning, that might reframe key structures in the current educational system.
